Binding with glue? I would appreciate if someone would explain and point me in the right direction.

I love using glue for bindings!! You can make a perfect (?) mitered corner using the glue ( a little goes a long way ) and a steam free iron.
It keeps the binding together without pins, is easy to sew thru, and washes out.

I watched this method on a youtube clip. I tried it on a small wallhanging. It worked, but I didn't like doing it. I love doing my binding my hand. It is one of my favorite parts of doing a quilt.

I do her method for the front and then fold back and hold it with a little glue to hand stitch it. It helps to make sure the binding is the same width all the way around.

Going to have to try this method.

This looks great...my question...does it not get glue on your needle?

If you do it right, the glue (a very thin thread of glue) should be within your 1/4" seam, and you should be sewing outside of it. That said, I'm sure my gluing wasn't perfect, but the ironing dries the glue and I didn't have any residue on my needle. I tried to keep the glue as close to the edge of my quilt as possible.
