Don't quilt diets usually allow backing, batting and binding? If you need one..buy one. If you don't, well then, it's probably not a deal.
At least that's my train of thought,lol!

I will be using another sheet for one of my donation quilts for Joplin, MO....Mom is giving me another of her old sheets. She feels like she is contributing to the quilt that way.

I have used a sheet before and quilt turned out nice. will do it again.

There was a time when people didn't have the option to buy all new fabric for a quilt and used what they had in the scrap pile so I think if you're happy with it, it's the perfect fabric for your needs. Don't forget to show pictures when it's finished :)

I use sheets for backing when machine quilting not for hand quilting. Sheeting is too tightly woven for hand quilting. Cotton blends are great for machine quilting.

Our guild uses sheets as backing for our large community quilts all the time. They quilt well and wash and wear well. If we had to buy yardage for every back, our guild could not afford to make nearly as many quilts. No one yet has ever complained about a sheet on the back.
