Just use a vacuum to suck it out of there. Using canned air will only send it futher up into the iron.

I use Awesome all the time & it is "AWESOME"! I can get it at the dollar store & I don't know what's in it but it will clean just about anything. I'm always telling people to get it. I guess I may have to try it in my iron.

i'd like to know how he got the iron apart. i have one that seems to be dead and would love to see if i can fix it. i can see only one screw.
