My neice has a shoe fetus.
So I was thinking of making her a a quilt with shoes. Maybe hi-heels? I've seen a quilt with these before but haven't been able to find a pattern. Any thoughts? |

I made that shoppers rule one and it was a BIG hit at a charity event. I bordered it with bright green and pink and the squares were white. It was fun IF you like satin stitching and applique.

PS it is very small like 36 by 36.

Thank you
I got lazy & thought it would be easier to ask... Thank you...I'll look at the sites. |
If you have an embroidery machine, bfc-creations.com has just come out with some shoe designs.

I love the first quilt!

I saw a fun wallhanging with all different kinds of flip-flops. It was somewhat 3-dimensional as the straps on the flip-flops were pieces of 1/2 inch piping. It was done in vibrant colors and was really cute. Don't know the pattern, though.

Here is my original design for a wall-hanging I made for a friend for Christmas. (Sorry, no pattern available). It has extra embellishments like buttons, embroidery, etc.)

Pat Sloan had a block of the month "Where Are Your Shoes And Socks?" out a couple years ago, absolutely cute.

msuewhite your wall hanging is adorable.
My youngest daughter also has a shoe fedish and would love a shoe quilt. Seems shoe fedishs run in my family way back to my GGM who had her little toes cut so she could wear those stylish heels. Thats ok give me my flip flops and I am happy..lol |
If using a embroidry machine Sandra Betezina (SP) had nice designs ...........I have done them.................calla/Sue

Thank you, CraftiLadi, for the kind words! I collect shoes (miniature ones) made of metal, wood, glass, etc. Some of them are pincushions, esp. the wooden-shoe ones. I have "shoe" jewelry as well. I have so many now that I have quit buying them. Funny, but I'm not really into the real, wearable kind! LOL

I'm glad I haven't started anything for her yet!
She said she wanted pigs in her quilt. That's what happens when you live so far away. You miss the little things! ugh! |
