I am working in Charlotte the next 2 weeks. I know about Sew Much Fun and Mary Jo's in Gastonia and I know that Sew Much Fun in Concord has closed. Any other "must see/shop" stores that I should not miss? I am working all around Charlotte so any thing up to 45 min to an hour is doable.

There is also a thread place right around the corner from Mary Jos

I have heard a rumor that a new store opened up in Concord near where Sew Much Fun was. I don't know for sure, but it would be up by Concord Mills Mall.

There is also Q Bee Quilts on Tryon.

There is one more store, but it isn't a friendly place in my opinion and I would not recommend it.

PS -- hope you enjoy your stay in my neck of the woods!

Thanks. I always enjoy coming up this way.

Thanks for the suggestions. I also ended up in Raleigh but did not get time to go to Wish Upon a Quilt. Mary Jo's is really something. Have never seen so much fabric in one place. Thread place was closed by the time I finished at Mary Jo's. Ill be back later this year and will try to hit them all.

If you get to the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area -- there is Thimble Pleasures in Chapel Hill

Thanks. I will keep that one in mind. I should be back that way some time in Nov.

The 'Quilter's Loft' in Mooresville.
It is in downtown Mooresville.
Great old building and lots of great customer service.

Blessings,
Sandi
