Can someone post a pick of a short shank darning foot for me? Also, do I need to use this for free motioning on my singer 15? Is this necessary? I might have one if I could see a pic, it would be helpful!

Most people use the darning foot for FMQ but there is a spring needle out there that I believe you can use alone without a foot.

Thanks for the link, I have 4 diffrent Janome darning/fm foots for the janome, not sure if they will fit on the old singer. Will look at it, do I even need a foot for free motion on the old singer to do stippling? Works pretty good without one really!

If if works without a darning foot for you then I'd go for it. Most people do use a darning foot for FMQ but if you are happy with your results then that's all that matters. As I said in my earlier reply there is a spring needle that you could use without a foot that works well for FMQ. I haven't tried it with my vintage machines but if the needle size fits that would be another option for you. If you are an ebayer then you could check your options there for a foot for your specific Singer. That said, there are always ways we can make due with what we have as you have referenced.
