I don't like sewing on the plastic tables, they vibrate terribly. We used them on our girls weekend a few years back, YUK and YUK.
Beside for the $ they cost check yard sales, etc. Aslo the plastic tables are to high for a regular chair you would need one that raises.

I see sewing cabinets on Craig's list and at garage sales frequently. You might want to look there. I bought my cabinet online for about $400 and it has the lift.

I bought a small one that my machine sits in and I butt it up against a bigger banquet type table for more space behind the machine. An even better set up would be to use two 2' x 4' tables, one for behind and one to the left side. This gives you more space all around.

That price is outrageous for pressed and glued wood pieces. For that price, a good carpenter, the Amish, a Mennonite, could make you an all wood of your design.

I have my DD's old dinig room table with two wings that fold out. It has teh center foot divider I can rest my feet on if necessary. Great little table that needed no adjustment.

I just went back to work, (I feel so blessed) so my reply to this is several days past due...but imho, since the back of this cabinet is open and if you have to go for a long spell without sewing or quilting, dust will get into your machine. If it had a solid back, maybe. I have seen some cabinets with a hinged deep shelf that would besupported by gate-legs, that folded along the back of the cabinet to the floor, to get a surface big enough to have a quilt as it gets larger.

This may be a little late but here goes anyway. I replaced all the interior doors in my house a couple years ago. These were flat doors not the panel ones. I gave a couple to my sister. She had her hubby buy some legs at HD and made a cut out for here machines. She now has plenty of room all around her now to support the quilts. I think the legs were around $15.00. Pretty cheap and works great.
