I sew on a WIP for a while, take a break, read this forum, eat, sew a while, read this forum, eat...you get the picture. But I actually quilted a baby quilt and put the binding on this weekend, made a couple of blocks and 1/3 of the way done pinning a king sized quilt. My fingers are starting to get sore so it's reading time.
Hope you enjoy your day.

How did your day go?

I have a couple of works in progress, they seem to follow three paths.
1) Working on in the machine
2) Handwork away from the machine
3) Needs inspiration - on hold :D

I'm trying very hard to FINISH my projects and stay limited to those three things. If I had a whole day I would work till I reached a stopping point, which could easily be ugh I don't want to rip out that big seam right now. But I'd shoot for PLEASE LET ME GET THIS DONE!

Ha ha--you'd all get a good chuckle if you watched me quilt. I start with one project--then for no rhyme of reason--move to another. I think it makes me feel I've done more if I work on several things in one day??

Today I sewed strips on table runners--then added borders to a child's quilt--then table runners--then more borders. Ironed everything--pinned the next strips--and went around again. The quilt is finished--more to do on table runners, but then I picked out fabric for the next table runner....then I sandwiched a few flannel squares to be quilted...

None of it makes sense--and I need to have a minimum of three projects going at a time so I don't get bored with one...and I'm getting something done all the time... but it'd look crazy to anyone watching.

My day was GREAT, Elizabeth, thanks for asking! I got a lot accomplished! I finished the neverending baby quilt, I finished Devin's "Birthday Quilt", I tried working on the BOM pattern that DonnaRae so nicely sent me, and I practiced a little machine quilting. I couldn't figure out how to set the tension and stitch length though. And then I couldn't remember what quilted feathers looked like. :) Of course this was after almost 11 hours of sitting in front of my sewing machine.

I can't wait to do it again! But next time I will need to bring more chocolate. ;)

I'll post pictures of my work tomorrow. Right now I need to go to sleep!

I can't wait to see your projects!!
How long before you can do this again?

Here's Devin's quilt. Definitely inspired by Chele's crazy fabric for her BOMs. :) I used that bamboo batting that I got on clearance at JoAnns. I don't like it. Every time the fabric rubs against the batting, little balls of fuzz form on the top of the quilt. The pattern came from Quilterscache.com but I can't remember what the name of the block is.

And here is the neverending quilt. You've probably seen it before, but you've never seen it before finished.
