Someone had a Janom Memory Craft 6500 on CL for 300?

I'm thinking it might be a good deal

If it works...it is...

Yes, if it works, that's a 1/3 of the new price. Can't be that old either...

Only if you can go and see the machine. If it's a 'must be shipped', I'd be wary.

Yep, I can go see it...person lives not that far.

I'm waiting for an email back

Then very cool, and good luck! :)

Absolutely, after a quick test run! Some of the 6500's had problems with paint chipping. Don't be concerned about it if this one did. It's purely cosmetic.

Hope it's a winner!

There was a post sometime this past week about a whole tractor trailer load of one particular model of Janome machines being stolen. It said the FBI has a list of all the serial numbers and is looking for the machines. The notice warned before you buy a too good to be true deal on a particular Janome please check it out. Sorry my brain is fried and I can't figure out how to find the info for you.
Maybe someone else here can check into it before you decide if you will buy it.
Sorry I can't be more helpful

If it is one of the stolen machines and you buy it, you will be out the money you paid. The FBI will take it. Another thing, you will not be able to get service for the machine. I wouldn't take a chance. That price is too good to be true.
