I always hope it will quilt out, by hand! I never have ironed batting. I just bought some bamboo batting and it lays out nicely. Can't wait to get started on it!

Dryer with a damp wash cloth, but not for too long. I also let it "rest" over the spare bed for a couple of days and brush with my hands when I walk past it to smooth it out.

i only once put it in the dryer with a damp cloth. it came out all pilly. everything that touched it got bits all over. now i lay it carpeting and sprtiz until it behaves. it takes a while. if there are small areas that won't lay flat i (gasp) stomp it with my socks on! :twisted: just handling the big ones stretch them, and then having to deal with the creases is a real pain.

I tried once to spray the poly batting and tumble it in a warm dryer. NOT. Some parts were fused together. :? Now, I spread it out on the bed, spray with one of those wrinkle - releaser products, then run my hand over the wrinkles to smooth. I then put the ceiling fan on and let it dry in place. This takes away most of the wrinkles.

I think she's referring to Downy Wrinkle Releaser. A popular item for travelers who don't/can't take a travel iron with them.

I have never had a problem with wrinkles with poly batts. I open it and lay it out to relax it before hand, then pin it to the wood frame and flatten it with my hands. Wrinkles haven't shown up after hand quilting. :lol:
