I love RWB quilts and have made and/or designed a great many. My favorite will probably always be the star quilt I made for the NYFD. It was given as a gift from our department to theirs after 911 and now hangs, I'm told in a firehouse there. I have 2 on my "current" stack. One is somewhat oversized Dresden plates as a wedding gift for my DGD (no rush. She's 8) The other is the half hexagon star quilt I posted my pattern for. Almost any star blocks work well in RWB.

I did a r/w/b several years ago as a weaver fever. It turned out great. I still have not figured out how to post pictures, sorry.

Like many others, I sew for Quilts of Valor. Here's the only one I've actually taken a picture of. It's a very simple pattern of two blocks, the Friendship Star and Rail Fence. Hope it inspires!

Ooooh... I love it! Of course, you just can't go wrong with Civil War repros!

This is one I made for my son and daughter-in-law. He was in the U.S. Army at the time. He's retired now.

Really love your quilt!
