Yarn or Fabric 11-14-2010 03:25 PM

My foot comes unscrewed all the time too - it is sooooOOooo annoying!

I do hope that you fiddle with it and maybe find the culprit!

Bless your heart. I only keep one machine myself since I live on the road. I don't like to use if in bad weather due to electrical surges (Janome 10001). I keep plenty of hand work around to pass the time and sit in the living room pretending to watch football on Sundays with my DH. If no luck by tomorrow, I'd try the manufacturer.

So sorry to hear about Sewing machine problems. I just got mine back from shop 2 weeks ago with a $130 bill and last Tuesday the foot pedal broke. I have special ordered one. Until it gets here I am getting ahead on other projects by cutting out my pieces now and keeping them all together in a separate box for each project. My poor sewing machine is going to be worked a lot getting all these pieces back together. I hope she can hold up to this much work at once. For that matter I hope I hold up thru this much work at once.

Glad I have a spare. That is heartbreaking! If you lived closer,I would surely give one to you to borrow if I could.

odd ..... unplugged the machine, plugged back in -- upped the foot lever and the foot lifted. ????? my sister laughed at me. said maybe the electonice had a glitch.
maybe i should try my tea pot again .... it quit on me about three weeks ago, and has been waiting for me to take it back to anchorage; it's still on warranty.

Yep, ain't technology grand!!
Great when it works, not so great when it don't.
As long as the machine's working now, all's good.

Woo Hoo!!!! So glad it's working. Electronic anything is a mystery to me. BTW....we do the same if our TV goes crazy. So far,so good.
Maybe a low cost machine used or from Joanns etc would be handy. I have one & hasn't been out of box....yet.

well, my little machine is back home after dropping it off at the sewing machine shop up in the big city .... there was nothing wrong with it! it didn't go clunk clunk or anything else that was odd. perhaps, like my computer, if anything doesn't work right, i turn it off, and turn it back on and everything is back in good working order again. electronics is electronics? it was worth it to go up -- i have a brand new huskvarna viking. guarantied to make my quilting look fabulous! LOL am still reading the books and it's oline stuff.

Sounds like you need a backup machine. I even take a second one when I go to retreat just in case.
