Siliconized polyester batting
 

Does anyone have experience using siliconized polyester batting? I saw it this week at JoAnn's. It was in a 20 yard roll and I love the convenience of that. It feels that it might be a little thicker than light polyester? Doing a web search, it sounds like it is less likely to cause allergies and doesn't attract dust mites and such. Haven't heard of it until now.

Never heard of it, I'll be watching to see what other say. I've been using more poly and poly blends because 100% cotton batting makes me sneeze like a dog sniffing pepper.

I read the reviews on this too. I too would value the opinions of those who have used it.

I too saw it at JoAnn's .. and asked what is different from regular poly batting.... I was told " it's siliconized" ... so I asked " what is siliconized"? They could not give me an answer.

Hmm. I'm beginning to think this is a fairly new product as there isn't anyone responding as to what their experience with this sort of batting for a quilt. I usually use polyester batts. I prefer a "puffy" quilt rather than flat such as cotton or 80/20 gives.

i would love to know more about this. how well does it hold up
