Silly but functional idea-rotary cutter
1 Attachment(s)
When changing my rotary cutter I never remember which side of the nut to screw on so today I had the idea to put a paper hole reinforcement on the top side. Worked like a charm, went together first try. Then I decided to use these on my bobbins to hold the thread tight when not in use. Any one else have ideas for these?

Clever! I use tiny ponytail circles.

I never knew there was a right and wrong side of the nut or I might have used your idea.

just get some clear (actually it's almost blue) water pipe from the hardware store - about 1 1/2" or so in diameter. Give hubby the job of slicing it up the middle on one side to open it out then into bobbin sized widths. It keeps him happy, he feels like he's helping out and no more messy bobbins ever! 1/2 yard of pipe cost about a dollar and will give you hundreds. I have used these for years and if I lose one, I don't have to bother hunting for it.

How about a dot of nail varnish?

Picking up some water pipe tomorrow.
Thanks for the idea Capri. Love finding multiple uses for things! Amy |
