I bought a used "Bargello" book from Amazon. The listing indicated it was "As good as new" or something like that.
When it arrived I checked and it looked new and had a pull out in the back. I read through the book and decided on the project I wanted to do first. Rhapsody. Bought my fabrics, created my strata. Then I went to the next section of instructions...which included 'refer to the pull out'. This is the silly part for me - the only pull out was NOT for the Rhapsody it was for Fire Flies. There is no other pull out. So there I sat with this in-progress project and no clear instructions for completion. I have now resorted to looking at the photo with a magnifying glass to determine HOW to put together the strips. I have spent hours on this and I am half finished. It may not look exactly like the original, but I'm giving it a good try! Not sure I will ever purchase another 'used' pattern book without touching it first! |
Send it back, or send seller a message. I have ordered several items without a problem. Good luck.

Ditto

As a seller on Amazon myself I would definitely contact the seller and explain. Most likely they only had one copy but you should be able to return it and get refund so you can buy another one.
|
yes,, to everything , everyone above said.....
I've bought in good faith from Amazon sellers before to end up beign disappointed in some way... when contacted they have always made good on the item... It certainly can't hurt to at elast let them know... |
Sellers often have multiple copies for sale and can switch it out for you...
|
What is the name of the book , I may be able to help you.
|
Good for you for carrying on :)
|
Thanks for the suggestions....I'll contact the seller.
The book is Marge Edie's Bargello Quilts. |
that's a shame. did you ask the seller to provide it. if it was advertised as 'like new', then all the parts should be there. advise the seller that you need it so that you don't have to put negative feedback online about the transaction
|
I've contacted the seller via Amazon.
I will not leave negative feedback. No way do I believe the seller intentionally sold the book without the insert. |
yeah that happened to me and the seller made it right
|
Just a note we once had someone leave us negative feedback because they purchased a CD and didn't like the songs...lol...as if WE had anything to do with the production of the music. That's only one in many goofy negative feedbacks.

I left a honest feedback about a memory foam topper....not negative, just not outstanding. Something along the lines of "If I had paid full retail I'd not be happy." I received a telephone call from the seller's agent offering me a 20% discount because I was not happy. I said no thanks....he said no, really. I said okay. He then asked if I would remove the 'not quite outstanding' feedback. I did so because I was without a qualm because it really is a fine item. I'm still glad I didn't pay $500 for it though!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Good luck.
|
The seller is refunding the cost.
Now I can go buy a new one! |
