Similar to Jamestown Landing?

I LOVE Bonnie Hunter's Jamestown Landing quilt http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2012/...ing-fling.html
Unfortunately, I have limited time to sew and don't want to take on the time for all the strips and strings. Do you know of a similar pattern that is regular pieced blocks? Thanks!

I think it would take longer to make this by cutting the individual pieces. Strips make it quicker. If your time is limited, don't try and cut the whole thing in one go. Cut a small number of strips & sew and recut those, just working with a small number of pieces until all the sub units are completed.

The strips and strings are the fast and easy part ;-) Everything else is half square triangles.

Great pattern! I don't do well cutting everything all at once. I agree with PaperPrincess. Cut a little, sew a little. This will clue you to problems with the blocks, such as directional fabric issues, ironing issues, sequence issues, etc.

You could make the neutral blocks all different and do the blue and neutral HSTs. You would get a similar look with the stars showing up, but you would not get all the variations of the neutral strings
