About a week ago someone inquired about the performance of her Simplicity Quilters Classic machine, how it takes another stitch when using the buttons etc. Mine does too and I find it nothing to worry about, I seldom use the "up or down position"of the needle or the "one more stitch" button. I love the machine and use it most of the time I am sewing anything.

The feature that you can sew with this machine without the use of the foot pedal is unique and I tried it although I don't need it. I am sure it will give me many years of service and hope the person who asked about this will agree.

i love that machine! i have two. i lend them out to friends or set them up when they come over. (trying to lure a few of them into quilting.)

i bought myself some fancy shmancy janomes but will never part with my SQCs. they're my "travellers" now. :-)

It's the only machine I've used since I started quilting. Well, not really. It's the first machine I bought specifically for quilting and I've been using it for a few years now and I LOVE IT!!! You never hear anyone talk about it. It's always, Bernina, Baby Lock, Janome and so on, but never Simplicity. I've never tried any of the others because they are out of my price range, but my Simplicity does the job and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for this thread!!!

I have this machine, too. It's a good little workhorse, great to take on vacation or to class.

Who makes this machine? I am curious.

Oh, here's another reason why I picked this machine. It has all metal working parts. That's deifintely a plus in my book. Should last forever.
