Yea, I think I am going to get that as well....they used it for a laundry folding table for 30 years, completely unaware that there were sewing machines inside! Isn't that something?!?!?

I thought about getting both, if affordable. It's hard for me to figure out a fair price, since eBay prices all over the place and I don't know the difference from machine to machine by the pictures. I don't even know if I could figure out the threading of a vertical bobbin. Maybe I am really in over my head :(

They all look nice. I have a 66 treadle - & do like it.
I have heard many nice things about the vertical bobbin on a 15. You can get instructions (how to thread the vertical bobbin & care for the machine) on line from Singer - no need to pay for a video copy on ebay. Would love to have your decision to make! Good luck.

BTW, the lever is a reverse for the machine - my Singer 201-2 has same thing.

Well, I was supposed to go check them out today, but my radiation treatments at the end of the week take there toll. I am afraid to drive that far so tired, so she is graciously letting me come at my own leisure.

Thanks Jan--I will download as many instructions before I go, so maybe I can get it stitching while I am there :)

So we're not twins, we're triplets! Amazing...we were all born on the same day. I love this site.

I paid $30 for mine...and I've seen one like it for $50 at the Goodwill

Yes, that is the reverse lever. Very nice looking machines. Could you get both the ones that have reverse?

I like the 15 over the 66. It sews nicer. Also I would take the newer model. It is still all metal but you should have reverse.

Thanks Anna! In 2 pics, of two of the machines, I notice a silver lever right above where the medallion is....Could this be the reverse lever or is the reverse a lever at all? If so, then there must be 2 machines with reverse...maybe one is the 66?? Here are the pics..

I have both! I prefer the 15 only because I have had it for many years and I am used to it! The feed dogs drop in the 15. Both are great machines!

Yes, I assume that I could buy them all, but would a person need 2 15's? Is there a big difference between a 15 and 15-91??
