I paid $150 for mine but, it was from a dept store alteration dept that bought it brand new back in the 1950's, had every maint. receipt and check up record from every year. Original cabinet, manual and accessories. The dept had newer computer models when I bought this but the ladies said it was their go to machine for heavy duty and darning (fmq) The store closed and was selling their inventory. The two alteration ladies were retiring after many years and got to pick the machines they wanted. They each picked one of the newer machines to keep. The Singer repairman that was still in business at the time was mad as wet hen when he found out I bought the machine and he wasn't asked first. He had the original manual for it and he actually threw it to me when I went to his shop to ask for it. He retired soon afterwards.

Far too much money for a machine and cabinet in this condition!

BellaBoo,
Oh my goodness! I'm sorry that the OSMG was so mean to you. I love my 15-90, its great for FMQ and piecing also makes great pot holders too.

We only paid $35. for ours table and all. We have noticed this on eBay as well, some sellers think they should be worth a lot of $$$$ because they look old. ( the machine not the Seller, have no idea what they look like) :)

No, that is not a good deal. Way too much.

I have one in a cabinet just like that one, I'd sell for $50.00. My cabinet is in better condition too.

I think you did the right thing, declining to pay that much for that machine. I agree with everyone else. You should watch for one alot cheaper than that. Looks like someone spilled alot of bleach on that tabletop, too. Just be patient, you'll find the right one for you. There are alot of those around. Good luck!

No, that machine is definitely not worth $200. The table is in horrible condition, and the machine probably is as well. Something was spilled on the table at one time. It's stretching it to say it's worth even $50. 15-91 machines are very common, keeping watching. Another one will come up eventually.

You 'might' email this seller and tell him your thoughts on the machine. And then offer $40. Use some of the comments from here! The worst he can say is no, right?
