I have had a busy, busy week. I bought a Singer 319 from a friend at work today, she's bringing it in tomorrow. Does any one know anything about these machines? Is the 319 the one that uses the stitch cams? Ebay has a few parts but only one machine that is green, the one I bought today is black.
I also have 3 other singers being delivered probably next week. One is a hand crank, can't wait to get that one. I got them all for somewhere between 200.00 and 250.00. I lucked out and got good deals on all of them. For a change, that's not usually how it works for me, I never get the good deals. So, it was hard saying no. I'll post pics of them all as soon as I get them.

Yes, the 319 takes cams - it also has a very interesting "typewriter key" method of selecting the built-in stitches. Beautiful machine! :)

It takes a 206 system needle - those are usually pretty expensive when you can find them as new old stock (NOS) but you can buy modern replacements in sizes 12 & 14 from some sellers. Jenny at http://shop.sew-classic.com carries them.

Have fun with the new babies. :)

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited! I can't wait to get my 319 tomorrow. I don't think she has the cams but after I check it out I'll see if I can get them on ebay.
