That will limit you greatly!

I agree, try to go for the largest hoop size machine
you can afford. A 4x4 is very limiting.

I bought a Singer FuturaXL-400 about 6 weeks, it has two hoops one 4x4 and one 6x10 for larger peices. I can't say enough good things about this machine. I bought it from a dealer, please buy from a dealer not from HSN, The dealers will give you lessons to help you learn to use the machine correctly. One more peice of information everyone should know these machines need to be cleaned and oiled regularly. I worked with commercial machines for 15 years, commercial techs recommend cleaning and oiling bobbin area every 4 to 6 hours of sewing, if heavy duty commercial machines need this much care, I would think these smaller machines would need at least this much care. I bought the Futura SES1000 on HSN a few years ago - they're similar to the CE250.

It's spent way more time being fixed than it's spent stitching designs. :( It goes through bobbin cases almost as fast as bobbins.

The embroidery field is not the advertised size of 5x7" - more like 4.1x6" or 4.2x6"

It beeps constantly to tell me that it's not threaded properly, but if I reboot it, it starts stitching even though I haven't TOUCHED the darn threading.

I love being able to work with the designs on the screen and transfer them to the machine without using a thumb drive or a memory card.

But, I would honestly rather have the Brother 400 than this awful Futura.
