Singer L500 or Singer FW75 question

Is there a circular sewing attachment for these machines? Anyone know? If so kindly point me in the right direction to purchase it. Thank you.

Are you talking about the flower attachment that comes with the 160? I have the L500 and haven't seen a circular attachment for it. I did order the 160, when it comes I'll try to see if the flower attachment fits the L500 and let you know.

I found the flower foot here: http://www.nancysnotions.com/product...+low+shank.do#. BUT it fits low shank machines. The L500 is a low shank machine but the part that the feet snap on is wider than normal. I do have a part that I got for my vintage singers so I could use snap on feet and tried it on the L500 and it worked. I couldn't see from the picture on the web site if it was a snap on foot or had it's own part to screw onto the needle bar. Check it out.

There's also a fringe foot.

No the flower attachment is different.

The Circular attachment allows you to make circles of different sizes as in free motion quilting.

I already have the fringe foot.

Let me know if the 160 flower foot fits on the L500.

Thank you.

I have a generic circular foot (from Nancy's Notions), and I own both machines. Will give it a try and let you know if it works!

Stitch Samples

Okay, here's a little picture of some stitch samples done with the circular foot. Keep in mind that these are really quick-and-dirty samples done on broadcloth with no stabilizer (which really should be used for this type of stitching).

The foot worked great with the Featherweight 75; no problems at all. It did not work at all with the Quantum L-500. I'm thinking it might be (as someone else suggested) a problem due to the wider feed dogs. Even though the feed dogs are lowered to use this foot, and I adjusted the needle pressure to its maximum (as the foot instructions say to do), it totally pulled off-course on the Quantum. I wasn't getting round stitches, just lots of stitches bunched up on top of each other.

There are lots of adjustments you can do with the foot, and it comes with instructions to describe all of them. If you have any questions you need answered in the meantime, just ask and I'll be happy to answer.
