Singer problem revisited
Hi, everyone. Just remembered I wanted to do an update on my Quantum L-500 machine and all the woes I have shared about it. I emailed and whined and pestered Singer(after they insulted me by email:), until they finally sent me a shipping label to send the machine to be checked. After some time they sent me a refurbished identical machine. Said mine could not be repaired, after more than one tech looked at it. I told them from the start there was something structurally wrong with it! The new machine sews great, and doesn't sound like it will tear itself up. Nice smooth running machine. Of corse now my Janome is my first choice, but have the Singer for back up. Moral of my story-never give up!

I'm so glad you got the machine replaced. So many companies don't realize the importance of customer service, especially in this internet age where news of bad service travels so far. I looked back and saw that your first post complaining about your machine breaking needles was in February 2011. That's a long time to wait for the company to do the right thing. And their delay caused you to turn to Janome. Next time you need to/want to buy a sewing machine, I doubt that it will be Singer!

Way to go for sticking to your guns and making them pay attention. It is so seldom that I've heard of a company actually holding up their end of the deal. Congratulations!
