Singer Quantum DSX sewing machine parts?
 

Hello!

I recently acquired a Singer Quantum DSX but soon after using it one of the gears connecting the hand dial(?), needle, and bobbin broke. Now if I spin the hand dial the needle will go up and down but the bobbin case will not spin (the timing belt connecting the top and bottom of the machine doesn’t spin without the gear). I could not find the part on sewingpartsonline.com. Is there any other place people would recommend looking ? Or to find a machine I could use for parts? I’d rather fix this machine than have to buy a different one since it works great besides this broken bit.

Try TandT repair. He's semi-retired and living in American Samoa. I'm not sure how old the quantum is, but if anyone can help, he can. Also, have you contacted the Singer company for parts information? (Most of the Vintage sewing machine collectors are interested in older machines.)

I believe the Quantum DSX is from the 90s. I have reached out to the Singer company and I believe it is the part Main Shaft Pulley or Timing Sprocket I had someone call it. Part No 385024. Thank you for the tip. I will be reaching out!
