I went to Bed Bath and Beyond....I personally think the price is outrageous $49.99 for a single flat queen, 250 thread count sheet!

Bed, Bath and Beyond is one place that sells single flat sheets. Not cheap, but you can find only a flat sheet there.

I looked for a sheet also for a back and had a hard time, selection is so slim. I ended up getting more fabric that I used in the front and pieced my back because they didn't have the color I was looking for but did find some singles. Also check at the thrift stores, they may have some. I know the Vet thrift store has a lot of them here in town, just so far away for me to go.

The flat twin sheets from Walmart also make great inexpensive tablecloths and backdrops. You can't buy tablecloths or fabric for the price.

There are single sheets at Bed Bath and beyond.

We have a Sleep Number eastern king. It uses two extra long twin fitted sheets and one king size top sheet. I have had no problem finding all the single sheets I need at Bed Bath & Beyond.

I know. I used to make comforters out of two flat sheets, and there used to be such cute designs on some of them (for the top). Now, I can't find anything. It's too bad. When my son asked for one of these comforters several years back, I ended up buying two sets of sheets, and giving him the remainder after taking the two flat sheets out. It gave him two matching sets of pillowcases and two matching fitted sheets. (As if a teenaged boy would care about things matching.)

I love to get my sheets at a local thrift store. Usually almost new, but have been washed (I wash them again, anyway) This way I can see how the threads come together before I cut the sheet. You would be suprised at the quality I have found. Even high thread counts. I never pay over $6.00 , often less than a dollar!

I've bought 100% cotton ones fairly recently (i.e. within the last year) at Target.

Yes, just thought about that the other day. I agree. Unless you want to spend a lot of money buying a deep pocket sheet set, which is what I need, and also percale, you'd have to google and buy online. Percale is hard to find nowadays, too.
