SITD pinwheel
Is there any way to SITD a pinwheel in one motion? Trying to avoid lots of starts and stops. TIA ☺

If you are SITD, you can start in the center and stitch around each of the 4 triangle blades coming back to the center each time. That would be enough quilting unless the pinwheels are really big and don’t have enough quilting for the batt you used.

I like to do slight curves around and around the block pieces using walking foot.

Try drawing a pinwheel the same size as you block and then draw a few different ways without lifting your pencil to see what looks good to you.

right Zozee, drawing does help. I quilted a reversible one like this and just noticed i missed a few places. i've had it over the sofa many times but never saw anything missing in navy border. sigh.
hope this shows. this was quilted from the other side that had hour glass blocks. |
