I am starting a queen size Bethlehem Star or Lone Star, and need a chart or something to show the size of fabric strips for the star sections and the size of the corner squares and side triangles to make the size quilt I want. Anyone know where to find one? I've been Googling all day, but couldn't find one.

See if your library has the book Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!!. There are really good instructions in that book for a lone star in all sizes from crib to king.

This one is smaller than you probably need - unless you use that as the center and create a border design to extend the edges. You can probably draft it out to figure out how much wider to cut things to enlarge the pattern. Cheers, K |

Hey my friend, check your old Fon's & Porter Magazines I seem to remember a very large Bethlehem Star in one of them. It went along with one of the Love of Quilting Segments.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll look for that book and check my F&Ps. I ended up designing one in my EQ6, and am very happy with it. However, I would like to see a chart that shows star size and strip widths and numbers (i.e. 4x4 2.5" strips, 6x6 3" strips). I think that would be very helpful to have.
Azam, I really like your avatar quilt! (wink, wink, wink) LOL |
