For a queen bed I like approximately 100x100. That allows 2 people to move around under the quilt comfortably. Store bought queen size are around 90 inches and that was not enough for us to share comfortably.

Mattresses differ in depth so I would do as mentioned above. Measure it from end to end and side to side to the size that you need for your bed. Good Luck
