Thanks for the info. I have started cutting some pieces to applique. Going to be away for a couple of days and then will be able to get going on it.

I try to make mine at least as long as the person is tall, then feet don't stick out.

I'm 5'7" and I make all my lap quilts 57" x 75". I love to wrap my feet up in the extra length :)

I agree. I'm 5'6" and I like to tuck my quilt under my feet and over my shoulders.

I mske mine so I can pull it over my head and under my feet at the same time ... and wide enough that I can turn over and not get a cold backside. Sometimes TV is so boring I want to take a nap instead. Not enough quilting/sewing shows on TV!

The first one was a rag quilt so it was easy to build it up to "my" size.

I too go for about 5 x 6 feet......I want to be able to totally wrap it around myself (or whoever is using it), not just cover the top.

at least 60 x 80

Sometimes we go horizontal while the TV is on.

I like my ears and feet covered at the same time.
Need the width because I'm not so skinny any more.
