someone here showed a pattern that she designed using a tool named sketchup.
please explain how this works. i googled it and it seems very difficult. is it really worth learning? can you show us again the design you created? please pm me if you post. sometimes i miss a post. thanks.

I downloaded it and so far, I'm too dumb to use it. My plan for the weekend is to see if my husband will show me how. He's an engineer, so I'm thinking he will be able to do it.

I sure would like to read how it went for you.

Is this a simplified CAD program? (or atleast simplified compare to what an Engineer would us LOL)

When DB was here, I was playing with a block idea on EQ and he was copying me on a CAD program on his lap top. The benefit was he could do more accurate measurements... For example he could measure down to an 1/8" and I could only go to the 1/4"

amma, i have neither CAD nor EQ. google this and see how it compares. then report back. i looked it over without downloading.
