Small buttons
Anyone know where I can get tiny buttons such as butterflies, lady bugs, animals of all kinds and flowers? I have no Idea to even start to look.

Not sure what you mean by tiny, but I just bought really small ladybugs, hearts and flowers at Joann's.
Wal-Mart has those too
Try amazon .
Check out Newark dressmaker supply - they might have what you need.
You could try www.aliexpress.com
lots of buttons here and good service been ordering for years http://www.homesew.com/Buttons.html
I used to see them a lot at JoAnn's but not so much lately, although certainly more than they had a few years ago.
I would search for a button specialty shop such as this one:

My L QS has them. She sells online at Sewingetc.com
I found everything you're asking for at Hancock Fabrics store.
I found some on eBay:

Jesse James has a lot of button, like ladybugs. I have a couple hundred of them Try them.
I think I have also seen them at KMart stores
Hillcreek Designs sells clay buttons but also sells button packs for patterns such as Art to Heart, Wooden Bear and Bunny Hill. They are pricey but cute. Click on the Button tab on the left and it gives you your options.
I needed some small red hearts and small red stars. Found them at JoAnn's.

Hobby Lobby has small buttons...both in fabrics and in the section for paper crafting
Depending on exactly how small, you might try googling doll buttons.
I have been looking for small red cardinals for two yrs. now. Found one in a small bird assortment, but just need cardinals. Any ideas? I have tried all links here and also haunted JoAnnes and Michaels and Hobby Lobby when I get near one, which isn't very often.
I've found some at Hobby Lobby. Also try homesew.com. :)
Some are "sew-on" and some are "shank". Shanks are best if you are using them with buttonholes. For decoration on wall quilts, for instance, I always use the sew-ons. Shanks tend to droop.
Ditto for Home Sew. Have used for years.
I have actually found some shaped buttons in the scrapbooking section at Hobby Lobby and AC Moore, Joannes also but be careful sometimes they do not have the shanks

Found some here, a little expensive but a good selection http://www.cafepress.com.au/+cardinal+buttons |
You can also go to the Simplicity pattern site, probably the other pattern makers as well, as they would have decorative buttons for their pattern lines.
Home Sew has a good selection. I bought several from them. Sent for their catalog and ordered on line.
You might try quiltedmemoriesllc.com. I know they have them in the shop.
