small sturdy table for domestic sewing machine

Does anyone have a table around this size? 28 1/2 inch tall and no longer than 34 to 35 inches long? I need it to fit in my sewing room. I've checked on amazon and have not found what I need. They do have tables but the reviews always mention how wobbly they are. It would be annoying to be sewing with my sewing machine and have it move up and down all the time.

I bought a Sauder cabinet from Walmart to use downstairs with an old machine. It has wheels, storage, opens up for more flat space for your quilt, and the price is good. I haven't noticed any vibration. I put it together myself without any problems.

This is the cabinet, but I don't see it listed by Walmart anymore. It was $119 when I purchased it in July. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/1812743...466&rmvSB=true

Wal-Mart on line has them $129.00. I just looked. Put Sewing Table in the search and it will come up.

More price than you want, but SewEzi, even the portable doesn't wobble. With a wobbly table, if the top is fairly decent ersatz wood, you can cross-brace.

I wanted to get rid of a Horn sewing cabinet really cheap $50. No local takers. Most want it free so they can try to resell.

I would try a hardware store. Here in Canada I can purchase a table that is adjustable to height and works really well for my sewing machine. Walmart also sells table that are not as long as you want, but if you have a handy man he could make a top to fit on it that would be that wide. However, I would not use it for an embroidery machine, only a sewing machine. Hope this helps.

You could get an older typewriter stand.

Yes, bearisgray.....but where do you find them. I have been looking for quite some time for one, but no luck.

I used one of those as my sewing table for years. Found it at the thrift store.

Check estate and garage sales! Or even computer desks are another since most have shelves where you can put your sewing notions.

I bought from these people before and they are very good to work with. Often with free shipping.

I found one a couple weeks ago like the sewEzi table that has the set in machine style top for eighteen dollars! I was dropping off some boxes to the assistance league thrift shop , and just happened upon it. I like donating to them because they have a food pantry for locals.

My other suggestion is to contact the local quilt guilds that have surplus donations for the quilt shows. They sometimes have to store the left over items until next year and might have something you could buy.
