Does anyone here use a low shank snap-on foot attachment adaptor with their Singer Featherweight and/or 66 machine? If so, does it work well and can you use any type of straight stitch snap-on foot? I have tons of specialty quilting feet from other machines (computerized Brother & Pfaff) and would like to utilize them on my newly acquired Singer 221 & 66 without having to break the bank to buy new feet for them! Would be nice to be able to use what I have already on hand!

I have used the feet from my Pfaff on my 221, using the Pfaff adaptor attachment. As long as the machine has the same shank length, it should be okay. I have used both the straight stitch foot and an open toe foot.

I've used the feet from my Janome 6500 and they work fine as they are both short shank machines. It works the other way too. I use my ancient old Buttonholer from my Singer 201 on my Janome as its built in buttonholer can't handle large or thick buttons. My old buttonholer doesn't even groan when used on the Janome.

One of the vendors at our quilt show on May 1 said any low shank foot can be used on the vintage Singers. I was looking for feet for my daughter's "new" Singer 15 model.

It sounds like you all are doing just that. Are there any other snap-on feet that can be used?

This is good to know as I am looking at buying one of the low shank adaptors and trying out some of my Pfaff snap-on feet. Thanks so much for some good news!
