this has been around a long time..and yes you can snow dye in FLA....find a sno-cone stand and have them shave you a tub full of ice...any ice house can do that too...it works..my BFF in MS did it last year in JULY!!

there is a yahoogroup called MXdyers that has tons of info on this!

There are a ton of tutorials and instructions on the web for snow dyeing. Vicki Welsh had an article on it in Quilting Arts Magazine (Oct/Nov 2009). Her instructions are on her blog, here: http://vickiwelsh.typepad.com/field_...ow-dyeing.html

Like most dyeing, it's messy. :roll:

It has just been brought to my attention that the author of the article in QA magazine was not Vicki Welsh, but was, in fact, Judi Yakab, a dyer, quilt top maker and longarm quilter (she's also a member of this board).
