Well....it is cool to me since I am a newbie I was watching a tute on you tube and the woman had a cutting board next to her machine but turned it over and it was an ironing board! It looked like it had a carrying handle too. I want one! Are they readily available?
Thank you! David |
Do you have a link to the video?
|
Yes you can get them at Joann's but beware they are pricey so wait and use your coupon on them. I personally do not have one because my mother made me a folding book, so I can have both accessible at the same time instead of flipping.

I got one at Joanns a couple of years ago. Time for a little shopping trip. Have fun.

I use mine all the time.

I got mine at Walmart :D:D:D

My Walmart's sewing section seems to be shrinking weekly! But I'll definitely check ther.
Thank you! David |
They are made by June Tailor - the same company that makes the slotted rulers and thread spool holders. I had two, and I recently sent my extra one to a fellow quilter here.

i saw some at walmart for 19.99 i have one and have used it so much it is wore out. going to get a new one when i get home after the holidays
|
yes, I have one and love it

Sounds neat!

Omnigrid makes a folding work center, cutting on one half, ironing side on the other half. It folds neatly, closes with velcro and has two carrying handles. It is just great for classes and travelling.

I bought three of the June Taylor ones at Walmart a few weeks ago for quilting gifts during this next year. I have a guild Secret Pal Birthday and two sewing buddies Birthdays this spring. They were marked down to $14.99 and that's a bargain.

David, the one you're talking about is probably called a Cut and Press board. I have two, a 12" square and a 12X18". I like the bigger one better. I always take it to classes or Midnight Quilters. That way I can cut and iron right at the table I'm sitting at. If you get it at Jo Ann's, use a coupon as they are expensive.
