So Excited!!

Went to a craft/sewing show yesterday, and got stars in my eyes when I saw the new Pfaff Creative Sensation! Was offered what I thought was a fantastic deal, actually. Walked around for awhile, drooling & thinking, trying to talk myself into being sensible. Well, the I-want-it ended up taking precedence over the I-really-shouldn't conversation I had with myself. Now, I am the (still) star-struck owner of an incredible machine. Can't wait for the lessons, and hope that I can measure up!

Congratulations, I saw one of those the other day at a quilt show. Wow. Where are the pictures?

gsbuffalo 02-27-2012 04:36 AM

Oh fun for you!! I just got a new Janome 6600 P and I'm lovin' it.

jgriinke 02-27-2012 08:39 AM

I think we need to think like our spouses do when they "need" a new or different tool. They don't say they "want" it, they say they "need" it.
I had kind of the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I went with a friend to have her machine looked at. It was a 3 hour ride, and she wanted company. I was looking around in the shop while they worked on her machine - well - I looked in the window, and they had a Janome 11000 sitting there with a crazy price tag on it. I asked what the deal was, and they told me a woman bought it and then was afraid of it, there was no Janome dealer in town, so she brought it in to them to trade in.
It's like new and I got it for $1500.00!!! With a bunch of add on accessories. I'm still doing the happy dance!!
Enjoy your new machine. I know I'm having fun with mine.

dglvr 02-27-2012 08:45 AM

Holy Cow now I wanna go get a new machine. Can't wait to see what a sew first. :) Congrats

jcrow 02-27-2012 09:17 AM

I'm so happy for you! A new sewing machine makes life so much better. I bought a new one 1 1/2 years ago and love it. Gave my daughter my first sewing machine and my second one is in my closet for "in case of's". I haven't had to use my second one again, but when I need to get my new one serviced (which the dealer is 1 1/2 hours away) I can pull out my other sewing machine and continue working (even though I probably forgot how to use it).

Rumbols 02-27-2012 09:25 AM

Congrats on your machine. Enjoy.

Caswews 02-28-2012 06:58 AM

That is the machine I have been drooling over at the local Sew & Vac shop(they are a Pfaff/Huskavarna dealer-the lady runs that part and hubby fixes things !LOL) right down the street from the Janome dealer. I think the Pfaff might be better for what I do .. Let us know how you like it !

Jingle 02-28-2012 08:31 AM

I didn't need another machine, found a good deal on one I couldn't pass by. Husband thought we should buy it for our oldest Daughter, so we did. She needed it and would not ever justify buying for herself. She was surprised and loves it, getting ready to quilt a quilt on it.

caspharm 02-28-2012 09:33 AM

Congrats on a new machine.

goofygirl2u 02-28-2012 09:34 AM

I bought one in December and I LOVE it! I had the Creative 4.0 (new, less than yr old) and was offered a great trade-in/rebate deal so I couldn't pass on upgrading to the sensation. I haven't regretted it. I only wish I had more time to sew and embroidery. Enjoy your new machine.

IdahoSandy 02-28-2012 10:47 AM

Are we allowed to ask what you paid for it????

Sandy--I'll pm you with info. I don't know if we're allowed to discuss those details here. Since I'm new, I don't want to be banned!

Would love to show her off, but I still live in the dark ages, technologically speaking. No digital camera! Not to mention, I'd have to have my grandson show me the how-tos!

Have to consider myself a pfaff pfanatic! Would extol them over any other machines, I think, although there are a lot of beautiful "other" brands out there!

nancia 02-28-2012 01:58 PM

wow! what all does it do? i'm not familiar with it, is it a new machine for pfaff? congrats!! i think 'i want' can be a very good reason to get something:), and you are going to use it, not just have it sitting around, right? sounds wonderful!!

CONGRATS!!! I did he same thing right before Christmas, and am too the proud owner of a new Pfaff Creative Sensation.........and I LOVE the machine!! Hope you get great pleasure from using this.....

carolynjo 02-28-2012 06:02 PM

Good for you! Hope you enjoy it.

jmoore 02-28-2012 07:12 PM

I have an older Pfaff that was handed down to me (I'm guessing 15 yrs+) and just bought a Janome 6600 ... only because the Janome dealer is within 15 minutes and the Pfaff dealer about an hour and a half away... I will never let loose of my favorite Pfaff! I'm sure you will love your new machine and that she will be reliable.

Happy quilting!
