Tomorrow I'm off to a weekend quilt retreat with Jenny Doan at Needle in a Haystack Quilt Retreat in Findlay Lake, NY. We'll be working on three different quilts, including one using the Wacky Web and Triangle papers. Has anyone done one of these? I remember reading on here that for some reason you lose your points using that template. I'm hoping that problem has been corrected. If not, any suggestions? And how did you quilt it when you were done? Any suggestions on what I need to take that we can't live without? Chocolate? LOL!!

Enjoy your retreat. I haven't made the patterns that you mention. There is usually someone at a retreat that can offer some advice about any question you may have.

I suggest nice hard sweets to suck all day.,

I keep lemon drops in my car for traveling because my throat will get dry when driving due to air conditioning or heat. I also add them to any hot tea I might have when driving. I was born and partially raised in a part of the south that had lemon & sugar in our tea.

I am jealous. My retreat for this weekend was just cancelled. We are going to be in the middle of a blizzard! So have a good time for me too.

I have a Wacky Web in my WIP/UFO pile. It's one of those things I can work on just to pass some time. Be sure to post pictures of your work. I'm jealous -- I'd love to be there, too!

That was my though, to meet Jenny, what a thrill. She is so funny and nice. Have a great time and tell her lots of people love her tuts and keep them coming and waiting with bated breath for the new magizine.

Jenny is like our "Rock Star" We're all so happy (& jealous) that you're getting to meet her. Don't forget your camera and have fun.

I would love that opportunity. Maybe, I should check her website and see what is planned for later in the year. She is within driving (okay long drive, 7 hrs) of me. First, I am going on a quilt trip to Ireland in June. Have a great time and report back to list.
