I spend wa-a-a-a-a-y too much time sitting here looking at everyone's beautiful quilts. The amount of talent on this board is amazing.

I am a TOTAL newbie and can't wait for the day when I am able to make a quilt even half as magnificent as the ones posted here.

Maybe if I quit drooling over all the quilts posted here, I could get some practice in! In the meantime, I'll just look at yours.

This place is addictive to all quilters the wonderful help posts and quick information come from experienced quilters all of whom share willingly their knowledge.
It is a wonderful site and your skill levels will increase in leaps and bounds by reading here.
If you are worried about wasting sewing time select times in the day to look. I look every time I sit and have a drink or food.

I agree, it is addictive! I love to see what everyone has made and done and just to look at all the info available!

It's terrific for inspiration and tips to make your work easier. And, just plain good enterainment! Post the first project you finish, or even as you go along. The support you receive from here will keep you going. But, you do need to go forth and prosper! :)

You can definitely find some great inspiration with all the eye candy here. I wish I could look at the pics more often, but we're limited on the amount of internet we can use (we don't have high speed internet and have to rely on Mi-Fi), so I don't get to look at pics unless I'm at work because they can use up my allowance quickly.

I love this board. Fortunately I have a job that I have some downtime in during the day, and a lot of flexibility. I read this board (typically) through-out the work day. I find all kinds of ideas, projects, hints and tips for my quilting time in the evenings. I also read every morning for about an hour while having coffee.
Don't let being a newbie stop anything. Do what your eye or heart draws you to. Trying new techniques is exciting and well help you increase your portfolio of skills. Show some of you're work!

Definitely it is an inspiring place to look for ideas and help. The other quilters here are so very quick to offer assistance...and it is a great benefit to those of us who haven't been quilting for years and years and years.

Definitely addictive, but where else can you find all the inspiration and encouragement in one neat package?

This board is so inspiring and extremely helpful. I too am a newbie but have dived right in. I am hooked!

I spend way too much time on the computer myself! But there are opportunities here to participate in swaps or challenges. Take advantage of those & you will improve your skills. It's always motivating to have a deadline!

Too much goo stuff here to miss a day! I'm too busy at this time of yr. to get much quilting done, but I seldom miss a day of checking in here. When we go up north to the cabin I spend a lot of time quilting, and as the weather turns colder & wetter I'll stay inside more and get back to regular sewing machine time.

This is a great place to spend time.

This is the perfect place to be if you are a newbie. I have good help here locally, but when I first started 3 years ago, it was so great to have a question late in the evening and know a place to get the answer!! Still is. It is just a bit addictive though. :) Ask me how many times I have been on today...probably ten....:) Luckily, I am retired.

Don't be intimidated by the beautiful quilts you see here! Some are artists creations, but some of us do this for our own satisfaction and enjoyment! And I do have fun with quilting. I certainly allow no quilt police to inspect mine. Just jump in and enjoy!!

Hello, my qb name is kiffie and I am a fellow qb addict. I love looking at all the beautiful items pictured here. I think to myself, Hmmm.. I should try making that.. sometimes I actually do accomplish more than sitting here admiring..sometimes not...lol

This is a wonderful site and a feast for the eyes. The quilts are awesome! The hints and help right on target.

I'm with you there, I go on the QB every day to see what you all are doing, I can't help myself, but I see lots of beautiful quilts, as well as very helpful hints for all my quilting. To me, it's like looking at a quilt magazine and getting ideas for more quilts, for which I am ever thankful to you all.

I agree this place is addictive but, it's also educational as I learn something new every time I'm get online. Is it really possible to spend too much time on education? I don't think so.

I'm finding this site very addictive also, but it's worth the time I feel. When I see other's work I think, someday I want to try that, and feel there is always something to work for.

Welcome aboard! I'm a "rank amateur" myself. But, I love this board. I've learned a lot -- still need to put it all into practice. Sometimes, you just have to say, "I can do anything I put my mind to!" I've got 2-3 quilts in progress now. Have had a hard time really getting started -- my aunt is 86, in a long-term care facility. We just sold her house recently, and have been busy trying to get the house cleared out. I never knew anyone could collect so much "stuff"!

Anyway, welcome aboard. Everyone on this board is very helpful, so don't hesitate to ask if you need help!
