I asked on Freecycle for fabric and notions for a free community quilt class I teach. One lady donated a lot of nice fabric she said was ugly and she'd never use it. It was pretty when the group made blocks from it!

Boy oh boy did you hit the jackpot!!! Have fun!!!

Wow! You hit the jackpot!
By the way, I enjoyed reading your blog, Michael. How do you like the Martelli rotary cutter? Do you have the mat as well? |
So is freecycle on the internet? and what is the URL?
|
Try doing a search. Freecycle. you will need to sign up for one in your area. Cincinnati is divided into area. Small towns my have just one group but you usually have to live within certain boundaries. would not do much good to have people in NY looking in Texas for things. Local is the key!

That is awesome. You really snagged quite a load. Scrappy quilts are so much fun. I am working on my Boomerang blocks so I am going through my own stash at the moment to find matches. I love rifling through my bins.

Wow I"m going to check that out in my area.
Thanks Miholmes for sharing that. Have fun with your treasures. |
