Hmm. I just paid $14 for one for my Baby Lock Esante. The shop is in transition of ownership. I think the new owner forgot to add in her profit. She called the distributor while I was standing by and gave me the price he/she quoted. I paid in advance. Today, I got a call to tell me my foot is in. I'm thinking I need to check on this cheap price. I don't want to cheat her. However, I just discovered I already have this foot in my kit.

My concern with the price of the walking foot is mostly from my concern about cheating the shop, but this shop wants me to teach some classes--and I certainly don't want to cheat them on the price of accessories. Besides--this is a new owner with much to learn yet.

I just bought a Janome last Saturday. I didn't get the walking foot but it is available for less than $40. I also have a Pfaff which I will keep as long as possible as it it my understanding the newer Pfaffs don't have the quality any more. What a shame. My Janome only weighs 12 pounds, so it will be a good traveler. We will see in May when I take it to Oklahoma to do some repair work for my sister.
