Saw the coolest tool at a quilt show today that this lady was demo-ing. It was battery operated, very much like a mens electric beard trimmer (but much more compact). You just lay your seam down on the table and get in between the two layers and run the trimmer down the seam. making sure the trimmer head is flat with table and you slightly pull the top layer back as you go. It was incredible. Im going to check with this woman first to see if she minds...and I will post what she is calling this tool and how to order one !!! duh!! why cant I think of these things. :hunf:

Let us know the name of it and how well it works.
Sounds interesting. |
Have one and it does work great but you do have to be careful that the fabric is laying on a hard surface as Suebee said.

I just got the blessing to share info with you about this new tool I saw. It is called "JACK THE RIPPER". Currently she is building her "notions" portion of her website, but she will be getting "Jack" on there asap! The tool is $19.25 +tax/shipping. In the meantime feel free to email her at [email protected]. Website is www.ladyhawkdesigns.com. Check it out. |
