I didn't really notice a difference with the mat. Think I did it right...but who knows.

I just did this on the roof of my car in 90+ degree day in Philadelphia. Worked like a charm!

I've never soaked my mat, but then it's only 16 years old and probably doesn't need it yet. It works, feels, and looks fine just the way it is so I see no point at all in messing with it. :)

It will work on an OLFA MAT, I put mine in the shower and let it soak on the bottom, the mat will stop the water from draining out.

I'm glad this works for some people. I laid my warped mat on the driveway in the August Texas sun. Nothing changed. Then I laid a piece of glass over the mat and left it out on the driveway for about six hours. Nothing happened. It was worth a try, of course, but I finally gave the mat away and don't know what happened to it after that. froggyintexas
