I'll be watching this discussion as I plan to explore the embroidery features on my bernina after the holidays.

Gay-Another I saw was embird. Looks like it’s on sale but not sure if it’s one of those things that are always on sale. They have a photo option but costs a little more. Definitely less than Bernina.

I have a Bernina B700 which I use to do longarm style quilting in a 210x400 hoop and to make embroidered quilt labels.

I use Embird with a downloaded quilting design (.qli .pat or several others) or a digitized image I did in Embird Studio to quilt on the Bernina after converting to .exp, resizing etc.

I can't tell the difference after quilting from the larger quilts I have quilted by a longarm machine, crib size is about the largest I have quilted to date.

I use a couple of their purchased fonts @ $15 each to embroidery the labels using small lettering. They also have an optional Font Engine module to use the fonts on your pc or free downloads that works very well.

It also has very extensive embroidery abilities but I rarely use them.
