I bought EQ6, but haven't had the time to install and use it. I did sign up for a class on EQ6 at Quilt U that starts Jan. 28. The website says this will be the last time for this version. I'm not planning to upgrade at this time so this is fine for me for now. Learning to use the software is one of my resolutions for 2011 so I'll be forced to complete that one because I've already paid for the class

Official Price: $89.95

Shops really can't sell it for less - it's part of their MAS(?) agreement with EQ.

There is a listing on eBay right now with a "Best Offer" option attached, and many eBay EQ options have free shipping, plus you save the sales tax.

(and the most recent best offer she accepted was $79  )

the only issue with the upgrade is that you have to have EQ6 to run it! Well, EQ6 has a limited # of times you can install it! That means you will also have a limited # of times you can install 7!

If you get the FULL version you will have an unlimited # of installations!

Ask me how fast you can go through installations if you have to clean up your computer!

If you already have 6 and have projects saved, all you have to do is install 7 and link the 6 project folder to it and then you can remove 6 from your computer!

Wrong.

EQ6 does not need to be installed on your machine. You must, however, be a licensed user of Electric Quilt 6.0.

You would have previously registered your version of EQ6 (whether you upgraded from EQ5 or purchased the full version).

You'll need to enter that number when installing EQ7Upgrade. If you don't have that number, you can call EQ and they can give it to you.
