How many of you suffer from sore hands or fingers due to your quilting. I bound a quilt yesterday and today, my hands/fingers are killing me. Any suggestions?

Take breaks and stretch your fingers out wide, often.
Do open/close with your fingers. Good Luck |
use Bag-Balm at night

Aspirin is a great pain reliever but not everyone can take it.

I suffer too. I don't stitch binding by hand or hand quilt anymore for that reason.
If I have't sewing for a while, cutting and the process of picking up pieces to put under the presser foot will ruin my fingers for a while. |
I have that problem after I quilt on on my sewing machine.

I use a parrifin wax pot for hand therapy. It keeps wax at a low temperature, I dip my hand in the wax three times, then wrap my hand in a hot moist towel. It feels good, and when you remove the wax your hands feel nice and soft. This was told to me by a physical therapist when I had another problem, but I use it when my arthritis is acting up.

Soak in hot water with 1/4 cup Epson salts. The sulfur that soaks in your skin will ease the soreness. And your body need sulfur to help prevent the aches in the future. Most people don't have enough sulfur in their bodies. I soak in water with 1/4 cup Epson salts in the bathtub twice a week.
