I was sure I would be needing help on this and I haven't even made the first cut. I have the strata sets made so I am only that far. In the directions it says if the strata is not wide enough the omit the first cut. My strata sets are the measurements is says. Without cutting I used the 10 inch wedge ruler and will have to start with the first cut being 21. Why don't they tell you to make the stratas longer. I will next time. My question is- have any of you had to start with the 21 inches and what difference does it make for the final runner. Will it still come together okay? I guess I could go on and make a small strata to make the first cut but I'll wait until I hear from someone on here. Thank you and Blessings to all. Kathryn

Sorry, never used the tool or made the runner. Someone will be able to help soon.

I wondered the same thing-- why don't they hae you make it longer in the beginning. I cut last night and could not get all the cuts I needed. I wish I would have not done the first long cut, but how do you know. Not sure what I'm going to do now???

IF I understand what you are asking, the only difference is it will not be quite as large. It is plenty big enough anyway and I don't see a problem beginning with 21"
