Spoonflower.com fabrics?
Has anyone ordered fabric, from Spoonflower.com? It seems to be small batch, designer fabrics. Unless I'm reading it wrong, you can get whatever design, printed onto your choice of fabric. Huh??? There's a REALLY CUTE dachshund fabric there, I'd like to get. Just wondering about the wash-ability, etc. I hate to pay $18 a yard, for something I can't safely wash. :-\

I haven't ordered but read a blog suggestion (can't remember who) to design and print your own label yardage. Kind of like what you see in the fabric stores but with your own design or logo. It sounded like a good idea to me.

I bit the bullet and bought a yard of fabric from there. I needed material that looked like brains to make surgical scrub hats for the neurosurgeon I work with. It took a while to get it. It was a stiffer cotton, but washes well. Good luck!

Thanks. I found the site's FAQ, read about the washing . . . and kinda talked myself out of it. Sounds like the quilter's cotton may need to be babied, when washed. :(

If you Google Spoonflower fabric quality, you'll find lots of opinions...some good, some bad. Spoonflower is a work in progress.
