probably not the best thing for washing fabric. ;-)

i have used spoonflower once. the fabric was nice and the colors washed well.

I used it twice, but I don't know about the washing. One was a gifted charity quilt and the other is a wall hanging that hasn't been washed. The colors were really nice though.

rofl - 3rd request, I can't send you any as I could do with some myself.

lol, "opium greatly appreciated" I hope you are not in pain but I definitely wasn't expecting to see that. Shame on the doctors for not giving you access. BTW, as Patrice mentioned, opium will NOT wash well.

Spoonflower fabrics are fine but pricey. The 100% cotton quilting fabrics wash normally and are a joy to quilt with like most high quality cotton fabrics.

Bwaa haa haa!!! ok that made me laugh out loud.

I've purchased Spoonflower in the past but it has been several years. Maybe even 10. It was a gift for a friend - I took some drawings and doodles she made, had them printed, sent it to her. I think she framed and hung it, instead of using it in a quilt.

May I suggest you purchase a FQ and wash the Tabasco out of it for a couple of months, see how it fares?

I love Spoonflower. I've designed my own fabric and used it for backside. I've ordered the 30 swatch sampler and made hot pads. Mostly of photos and art pictures by my kids. The hot pads are worn out, but the colors are still rich! After surgery, I worked on several adult coloring pages. I uploaded these for my fabrics.
I uploaded a few pics from the Spoonflower folder on my computer. I have typed the instructions to myself, so I can share those, if interested.

I've ordered from Spoonflower once before a couple years ago and felt the fabric was of a rougher quality than regular name brand quilt fabric. Ended up not using it and gave it away to a thrift store. For me, it was an expensive mistake..

I received an email stating that they are having a sale. 25% off

I had the same experience as lindaschipper. It was so rough and I washed it a lot of times trying to save it because it was going to be made into pillowcases. If it is just a highlight fabric you fell in love with, that is a different story. I just personally prefer the bulk of my quilts to be out of something with a softer hand.
