Do any of you use the spray adhesive to hold your layers together while binding or quilting? Is is true it doesn't gum up your machine/needle?If so, is 505 spray a good brand?

I have never had a problem with 505 or June Taylor spray. I have used this on all of my quilts. I also hang my unfinished quilts sometimes for weeks before quilting and they always stayed sandwiched together, I never use pins. You do not have to spray on a lot...just a small amount in all areas.

thanks. I was just placing an order with Connecting threads and wondered if I should try.

Occasionally I'll get a little ball of lint and glue at the top to the needle, but it doesn't interfere with the quilting. I've used every brand out there and the one at walmart seems to be the worst at getting gummy, but still doesn't cause a problem.

I now use 505 due to problems wth a gummy needle using June Taylor.

I use spray basting all of the time & love it- I usually use June Taylor. Do a search of the board- there have been a lot of topics posted about this.
