Which is your favorite spray basting, and why? Thanks.

505. I love it.

How much do you use?

June Taylor's

I have used the three mentioned.

I like 505 because it works so well and doesn't seem to have the petroleum by products. A little goes a long way and it stays for weeks or maybe months!

I am now trying Sullivans. I am not happy with the petroleum by products. I make sure to spray outside. They suggest you wait a few minutes to let the product to get tacky. I used it a lot sooner without a problem. It also goes a long way!

Neither of these products caused any problem with needles gumming up.

The other product, June Taylors, seems to be liked by some here on the board. I personally tried it and didn't like it at all. Maybe I got a bad can, but I have little to say in it's favor.

Overall I think I like 505 the most. JMHO

I've used Sullivans and it works great for me.

I've only used 505 and I really like it.

I love 505 the best of any spray baste. It doesn't have an odor and washes out easy. The cost is the only thing I don't like about it.

I like June Taylor's spray baste. I found the large can at Michael's and was able to get it for $7.13, that is after a 50% coupon. I have basted 3 good sized quilts with one can. It does seem to have a light odor but it didn't bother me.

I extremely dislike the Sullivan brand. It goes far but the can I used had a horrible odor. It didn't completely wash out either. I had to air the quilt for several days..

505 ... though I don't use it much anymore.
